McDonald’s Inspirational Gospel Fest Engages The Black Community Through Unity and Music
McDonald's annual Inspiration Celebration ® Gospel Tour (ICGT) unites Black culture through its intergenerational celebration of Black faith, joy, music, and more.
The concerts usually launch between May and September each year, and tours in six cities with large Black and Latin communities.
Fans nationwide experience a message of hope and upliftment through dynamic live performances from gospel artists who drive change and push the envelope in music.
The highly anticipated six-city tour bridges the gap between intergenerational gospel artists, like Anthony Brown & Group TherAPy, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Bri Babineaux, DOE, Mike Teezy, Sir the Baptist, The Walls Group, Tim Bowman Jr., and DJ CANVA$.
"This celebration of faith not only brings together the powerful harmonies of gospel music but also unites community and family, touching hearts across the nation," said Grammy Award Winner ® Bishop Hezekiah Walker. "I am honored to be back performing live on the Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour alongside some of gospel's brightest stars. But it's not just about the music – it's about the impact, as we celebrate faith to spread joy, compassion, and a message of hope to thousands of fans across the nation."
As with previous years, the tour celebrates McDonald's continued commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®). At each concert stop, attendees can donate to their local RMHC chapter to benefit families served by the organization.
Local Campaigns Win Big Nationally
Each year, the tour reaches more than 400,000 attendees across the U.S. We found that consumers feel connected to a brand that respects their culture and shows it relates to it.
We start with local churches, charities, and schools to create a grassroots approach. We then partner with local radio stations, influencers, and community leaders to get the word out. Pitching to local media outlets and scheduling interviews for celebrities and franchisees lead to great coverage. On average, our results are:
We disperse 100% of the free tickets, often leading to a 70% attendance rate. We've learned that when tickets are free, people accept tickets without the intention to attend the event.
Attendees receive branded gift bags with partners like Dr. Pepper, coupons, community information, and more.
VIPs such as local politicians, celebrities, and community leaders can meet and greet the stars of the gospel tour.
Nearly $120M raised over the 17 years of tours.
