From Coast to Coast: Black Influencers Share Their Experience at Essence Festival
Since 2011, we have taken the national flavor of ESSENCE Music Festival to local markets! In fact, Festivalgoers have become to expect our client's unique brand of excitement and delight for their chance to win a four-day trip to New Orleans ESSENCE Music Festival.
Each year, we partner with popular bloggers, DJs and radio stations to host a two-part contest. First, hopefuls have the chance to win by being the "10th caller" during a popular radio show and/or they may take a chance of winning by entering a social media contest. Each contest depends on the local markets' make up including demographics, population and DMA ratings.
There are two pairs of winners per each market including: Dallas, Houston, Austin, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Sacramento and more! Winners are awarded a flight, hotel and small cash gift card.
Upon arrival winners, receive a fun-filled Essence bag with free products from local and national sponsors, surprises and a map to all the fun and private events such as 365 Black Awards and the final Essence party.
As they party their July nights away, winners post some of their fun on social media using our clients' branded hashtag. This gives the client a great presence online. Winners authentically thanking our clients for an exciting experience!
This project focuses on customer experience, experimental marketing and events. Essence Festival is like a family reunion that includes a host of celebrities, singers, motivational speakers and leaders from around the world. Brands who are in this space authentically, become a part of the experience and "the family."
